Oasis

Is there any news Jeff on the roads around Oasis. I was told that Aquagest did the road at the bottom by the canal and also that it was they who did the roads in San Fulgencio around the town hall. Is this true? The waterboard were around here on Oasis a few weeks ago and seemed to be measuring the drains they were here for a few days. Do you think they were surveying our roads with a view to doing them?

Jane

JANE. WE ARE IN THE SAME SITUATION AS WE WERE ON THE 25TH FEB. 2008. WHEN THE MUPPETS FROM SAN FULGENCIO. TOWN HALL WRECKED OUR ROADS AND LIVES. AND STILL THEY DO NOTHING. BUT THE GOOD NEWS IS WE CAN GET ANOTHER GRANT TO PAY TOWARDS THE WORK, PROVIDING WE COMPLETE EVERYTHING BY FEB 2013. WE HAD A BILL FOR € 2,331.46. IF SOMETHING ISN'T DONE SOON, SOMEONE WILL GET SERIOUSLY HURT. TRY CYCLING OR PUSHING A BUGGY OR EVEN A MOBILITY SCOOTER UP OR DOWN CALLE SAN AGATANGELO. COME ON JEFF GET YOUR CRONIES TOGETHER AND AT LEAST FILL IN ALL THE CHASMS THAT HAVE APPEARED AGAIN AFTER TUESDAYS RAINS.

The trenches in Calle Rodriguez de la Fuente are also atrocious. It wont be long before there is a really serious accident there.

You said it correct 2008. Did you moan at the previous council like this. Fact is it probably isn't going to get done. The problem has been on going for years so you can't throw the blame at this PP-PIPN run council

Well said Jane. We're on Oasis so we have to use the roads from town to get here. I pity the people who live on these roads. They are a total disgrace. Why are we all paying our Suma for such treatment. Our cars must be getting damaged and the whole situation is very depressing. We love it here but we shouldn't be expected to put up with this.

it is getting ridiculous around here my brake lights keep going off because of the uneven roads jogging the wiring. I will probably get pulled up by the police and told off for this but how can I explain to them that it is because of the uneven surface roads I have to drive down every day. Is this a 3rd world country...yes I'm afraid so...can you imagine putting up with this anywhere else. The builders destroyed the roads and does anyone anywhere care less...no..isn't there anyone out there that can help for goodness sake why are we putting up with this...we pay our SUMA we need something done and soon..

Andi...sorry but what is that supposed to mean...I can and will lay the blame on the council whether it be PP - PIPN or PSOE...and yes I did complain to the previous council and I will go on complaining to whoever are the powers that be until we get something done...no use just saying ..."fact is it probably isn't going to get done" they have to be done for goodness sake...why should we put up with it..whoever is "in charge" in San Fulgencio need to get this sorted asap..I will go on complaining and hope that my fellow citizens in Oasis and La Marina will follow my example and lay the blame for this shambles clearly at the door of the council who after all promised the residents of Oasis that "of course we will get the roads sorted out"...yes.. when they were after our vote in the run up to the election. It is an absolute disgrace what is happening here on Oasis and I for one will not keep quiet and say nothing about it ...whoever is in office at the Town Hall.

Must agree with Jane,Oasis roads are a disgrace, and should be sorted before someone is badly hurt.
I have said this before and i will repeat it,If only for the Mayor of San Fulgencio to finally get the message.
When the council took over the running of this area ,he and his fellow councillors took over the assets and debits as well as everything that the old council left behind,If they didnt want to do that they shouldnt of applied for the job,Because that is what it is,a job to run the area in a proper way and not concentrate on certain areas and leave the rest to rot.
Just to state,I do not live in the area that is blighted because of council neglect,But i believe in fairness to all,and by the look of it Oasis aint getting their share.

I believe some sort of work will start within the next Month. Not everyone including myself will be happy at the arrangements being sorted out between the Town Hall and the various Presidents of Oasis. My belief has been and always will be it is down to the Town Hall, and I am sure every court in the land going all the way to Europe would agree.
If the Council were to apply direct to Brussels for help, it may be forthcoming, if you don't ask you don't get.

Andi. The answer is YES, I did complain to the previous Council, I sent them 113 Emails, attended numerous meetings and marches to the Town Hall, and handed in signed petitions, when the previous council members watched us from behind closed net curtains, not having the Balls to come out and face us, When they were spending La Marina and Oasis Suma Monies on Making San Fulgencio Village, Into a picturesque chocolate box lid, And wasting money on Tennis courts, football pitches and padel courts. the PP. and PIPN parties stood for election to take on the job, so nows is the time to get off their Butts and do something positive for the people of Oasis and La Marina, who put them in the Jobs they are in. Time to earn their Mega salaries.

Robert, if you are correct I may have to make you the "Saint of Oasis Roads" and have thanksgiving ceremonies to you every year. If anybody wants to see lovely roads go to San Fulgencio village centre and see their lovely roads. We go to church there every week and it was amazing to see how their roads were updated and they were nowhere near as bad as Oasis. We can but pray and hope

Hi Robert just to say that I agree with you what you have said is the most sensible thing I have heard regarding the shambles on Oasis. Why for goodness sake doesn't somebody...maybe Jeff as he's our source at the town hall..apply to Brussels..you're so right I think they would help if they could only realise the situation we have to put up with...come on Jeff where are you???
